Lots of Lawyers Want to Work for the Dead

Fifty-four lawyers have applied for a part-time job at Útfararstofnun kirkjugarðanna, the National Church’s Funeral Service in Reykjavík.

The funeral service is looking to expand the services available to customers, offering assistance with writing wills and dividing the estate of the deceased, the funeral service’s manager Elín Sigrún Jónsdóttir told mbl.is.

Unemployment is currently widespread among lawyers in Iceland.
