Lost Spanish Tourist Survived off Berries

By Iceland Review

A Spanish man was rescued from the Icelandic highlands on Saturday after being missing for four days. The man did not have anything to eat except from berries that he came across. He is being treated at the hospital in Húsavík, northeast Iceland.

Sheep herders who were collecting their sheep from the highlands found the man by Krossá river in Bárdardalur valley in northeast Iceland, Fréttabladid reports.

The man is being treated for hypothermia at the Húsavík hospital and is expected to be released tomorrow or Wednesday.
