Lost sheep found in mountains

Farmers found ten lost sheep wandering in the mountains in south Iceland this week; they had missed the annual sheep herding last autumn.

Farmers from three farms in south Iceland, Litla-Heidi, Gil and Nordur-Foss, teamed up in search for their sheep in the mountain area of Svínatungur and Koltungur in the Mýrdalur valley. Morgunbladid reports.

They finally located the eight lambs and two grown sheep. They had become quite skinny, but were otherwise in good health. The farmers brought the lost sheep back to their farms with specially designed sheep reins.
