Lost Icelandic Teenager in Denmark Found Dead

The Danish police confirmed yesterday that they had discovered the body of 18-year-old Icelander Ívar Jörgensson, who has been missing for nearly two weeks. The boy’s body was found about one kilometer away from his abandoned car.

According to police, the boy was found dead in the vicinity of a lake and is believed to have drowned. At the moment, there are no suspicions of a wrongful death, Morgunbladid reports.

Jörgensson, who has lived in Denmark for the past 11 years, had had been out with his friends the first weekend of February in northern Jutland. The search for him began when he didn’t return home on Sunday, February 3, and shortly afterwards his vehicle was discovered with no gas and keys in the ignition.
