Guðbergur’s play is called Eiðurinn og eitthvað (The Oath – And Something and is staged by the theater group Grindvíska atvinnuleikhúsið (GRAL) in Tjarnarbíó theater by the Reykjavík pond, ruv.is reports.

“It is about an author who seeks characters and characters who seek an author, where the author starts and ends and when the characters take over and to how big an extent the author is part of the play itself,” said the director, Bergur Þór Ingólfsson, in description of Guðbergur’s theater debut.

“We are experimenting and posting questions to ourselves. It is surreal on some level and absurd on another and also on some peculiar Guðbergian level, I should think,” the director concluded.
