The organizers of the music festival Aldrei fór ég sudur (“I never went south”) in Ísafjördur, the capital of the West Fjords, have announced that Hudson Wayne will play this Easter—the band also played when the festival was first held in 2004.

According to icelandicmusic.is, this year’s lineup also includes Bloodgroup, Hjaltalín, Mordingjarnir, Dikta and Ólöf Arnalds, along with lesser known acts such as Urmull, Sólinn frá Sandgerdi, Rúnar Thór, Mid-Ísland and Pollapönk.
Aldrei fór ég sudur was founded by Icelandic rocker Mugison and his father.
“We started to imagine a festival in our little town […] where local workers would sing, dj and entertain […] and we would get the biggest name in Icelandic music to support them,” Mugison once said in description of how the festival came to be. “We called up some friends and to our surprise everybody was up for it.”
