Laxdaela Lárusar Finishes Shooting

The shooting for Ólafur Jóhannesson’s new feature film Laxdaela Lárusar (working title) finished last week, after 27 days of shooting in Búdardalur and Reykjavík. According to schedule, the film will premiere next year.

Laxdaela Lárusar features a recently-divorced engineer from Reykjavík, who tries to save a small community in west Iceland from damnation while desperately trying to find himself.

The leading roles are played by Stefán Karl Stefánsson, Eggert Thorleifsson and Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir. A number of other well-known Icelandic actors appear in supporting roles, including Benedikt Erlingsson.
