One of the world’s most popular games
Yesterday, players of the video game Fortnite were given the opportunity to purchase a dance emote inspired by Icelandic musician Laufey Lín, RÚV reports. This allows users to perform Laufey’s dance moves while playing the game. Laufey shared Fortnite’s announcement on her profile on the social media platform X yesterday.
An emote in Fortnite is a special feature that allows players to express themselves through actions, gestures, or dances performed by their in-game characters. Many emotes are available for purchase from several globally-renowned artists, including Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and The Weeknd.
