Landlord Taken Hostage in Kópavogur

A landlord was taken hostage by his tenant in the Reykjavík satellite town of Kópavogur last night. The police freed the landlord earlier today and arrested the axe and knife bearing tenant. The tenant had reacted badly to his landlord’s request that he move out of the rented apartment the night before.

The police arrested the tenant, who had fallen into a drug-related sleep, and removed an illegal corn snake from the apartment, visir.is reports.
