Discussions have been held at the Icelandic Federation of Labour regarding stipulations that would allow employees to negotiate parts of their wages to be paid in Euros. This would be done in response to fluctuations in the Icelandic krona against foreign currencies and would minimize risk for those Icelanders who have taken loans in foreign currencies.
