Last night the Kópavogur town council voted in favor of making the leader of the Kópavogur Independence Party Ármann Kr. Ólafsson the town’s next mayor. Ruv.is reports this today.

Ármann will take over from Guðrún Pálsdóttir who will again be divisional manager for the municipality.
At the same occasion, a new majority of the Independence Party, Progressive Party and the new Kópavogur Party came into power.
