Kópavogur Elementary School Wins Sports Competition

The team from Lindaskóli in Kópavogur won Skólahreysti, a sports competition between elementary schools in Iceland, on Thursday in a 12-school final. Heidarskóli in Keflavík placed second and Lágafellsskóli in Mosfellsbaer third.

This year is the third time that Lindaskóli earns a medal at Skólahreysti. The school won the competition in 2007 and placed second the following year, Fréttabladid reports.

Lindaskóli has made it to the Skólahreysti final a total of five times since the competition was first held in 2005.

The winning team was comprised of Agnes Thóra Sigthórsdóttir, Karl Kristjánsson, Konný Lára Birgisdóttir and Valgardur Reinhardsson.
