Kisses and Education on New Icelandic Stamps

The Icelandic Post Inc. released new stamps this week, featuring different types of kisses and the Iceland University of Education (KHÍ), which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. It was founded when education was made compulsory in Iceland.

The “kissing stamps” are part of a special series of postal stamps intended for festive occasions, like for invitations to birthdays, weddings etc. This is the second time that the Icelandic Post releases such stamps; their previous motives were flowers.

The stamps featuring the Iceland University of Education are worth ISK 85 (USD 1.27, EUR 0.87) and were designed by Hany Hadaya at H2 Design.

The stamps featuring kisses are available for ISK 65, 75 and 85 (USD 0.97, 1.12 and 1.27, EUR 0.66, 0.77 and 0.87) and were designed by Anna Thóra Árnadóttir at EnnEmm Advertising Agency.
