Keflavík airport: passenger numbers up by 10 percent

The number of passengers through the Leifur Eiríksson Air Terminal in Iceland went up by nearly 10 percent in August over the same time last year, or from nearly 245,000 passengers last year to just over 269,000 passengers this year. RÚV online reports.

Passenger numbers flying to and from Iceland are up by nearly 15 percent between years, whereas the number of passengers on stopovers en route across the North Atlantic is down by just over 14 percent.
