Two men who are trying to circle Iceland in a kayak are now by Reynisdrangar in south Iceland. The two started in Húsavík on March 27. Riaan Manser, first person to cycle the 37,000km perimeter of Africa, and the disabled brother, Dan Skinstad, of former Springbok Rugby player Bobby Skinstad are kayaking their way around Iceland.

Riaan rose to prominence when he became the first person to cycle around the entire perimeter of Africa. For over two years, he pedalled a mammoth 37,000kms through 34 countries; some of which rank as the most dangerous places on Earth. It was a feat that earned him the title Adventurer of the Year 2006 and made his resulting book, ‘Around Africa on my bicycle’, a best-seller.

The two landed near Dyrhólaey on Monday night. The landing was difficult but successful. During their trip the two have suffered through all sorts of weather and enjoyed the unique nature of Iceland.
