Norwegian singer Kate Havnevik open up for Air’s concert in Reykjavík’s Laugardalshöll music hall on June 19. Havnevik has been described as the missing link between Björk, Goldfrapp and Air.
Havnevik toured with Air in the US and Canada, and Air requested she also warm up the crowd for their concert in Iceland, as stated in a press release from Mr. Destiny, which organizes the concert.
Havnevik has cooperated with several artists, including Röyksopp, and helped them write “Only this Moment” and “Circuit Breaker” for their latest album The Understanding. Recently Havnevik has been concentrating on her solo career and last year released her first studio album Melankton.
Havnevik’s music has been described as “dreamy” and “electric,” and her album has been well-received by critics. Her songs have been used for TV series like The West Wing, The O.C. and Grey’s Anatomy.
