Justin Bieber to Launch World Tour in Iceland

By Iceland Review

Justin Bieber has just announced that his Purpose World Tour will begin in Iceland on September 9, 2016. The concert will be held in Kórinn, Kópavogur, near Reykjavík. Altogether, 19,000 tickets will be available, making this the largest concert ever in Iceland.

Justin Bieber Fan Club members will get a chance to purchase tickets two days prior to the general public, or Thursday, December 17 at 4 pm. Ticket pre-sales begin Friday, December 18 at 10 am. Details regarding ticket pre-sales will be announced tomorrow, Friday. General ticket sales begin Saturday, December 19 at 10 am on Tix.is.

Tickets have sold out to Bieber’s concerts in 64 countries. The Purpose World Tour will include more than 30 concerts all over Europe.

The admiration and craze surrounding Bieber’s latest music is unprecedented. The album ranks number one in popularity in over 100 countries. Seventeen of the album’s songs made it to the Hot 100 list at the same time, along with setting a new Spotify record, where the album was listened to 200 million times in the first week after its release.

Bieber visited Iceland in September to film the clip for his song ‘I’ll Show You.’

The largest concert to date in Iceland was Justin Timberlake’s concert, also in Kórinn, Kópavogur, in August last year. All 16,000 tickets to that concert sold out in 15 minutes.
