In an interview with local talk show Kastljosid, Carreras discussed his fondness for the Icelandic countryside, his dream of playing professional football for Barcelona, and his recovery from leukaemia more than fifteen years ago.
This is the tenor’s second visit to Iceland, and he said that he might be bringing his daughter with him for the show. Asked whether he would consider singing in Icelandic, as he has recorded in languages ranging from Chinese to English, he said he would be interested, he would just need more notice.
