Icelandic musicians Jónsi and Ólöf Arnalds have been nominated for the Nordic Music Prize, which will be held for the first time this year.

They are both nominated for Best Nordic Album 2010 along with ten other musicians, Jónsi for Go and Arnalds for Innundir skinni, as reported on icelandicmusic.is.

The national nomination processes have involved music journalists and industry professionals from each of the five Nordic countries, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark.
The final choice of nominees was made by a joint Nordic nomination committee, the leaders of each national committee and one additional journalist from each country.
The 12 nominated albums will be presented to an international jury who in turn will decide the winner of the Nordic Music Prize.
