Jóhann Jóhannsson Nominated for Best Film Composer Award

Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson has been nominated for a World Soundtrack Award in the Best Film Composer of the Year category. Jóhann has been nominated for his score for the film Arrival.

Jóhann has been releasing solo albums since 2002 and composes for a wide range of media including film, theater, and TV. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score for both The Theory of Everything and Sicario, and won a Golden Globe for Best Original Score for The Theory of Everything.

The World Soundtrack Awards take place in Gent, Belgium October 17th to 19th. See a list of other nominees here.
