Jitters on the Icelandic Stock Exchange

Prices on the Icelandic Stock Exchange fell the second day in a row on Tuesday, the ICEX index finished 1.8 per cent lower at closing.

Prices continued to fall this morning, and at 12:30 pm today, Wednesday, share prices of all companies that were being actively traded had depreciated.

Íslandsbanki is down by 2 per cent, Landsbanki by 4.4 per cent, Kaupthing Banki by 1.9 per cent, investment company Burdaras by 3.8 per cent, investment bank Straumur by 2.5 per cent, prosthetics company Össur by 3.5 per cent, generic drug maker Actavis by 0.7 per cent, Mosaic Fashions by 1.5 per cent, and FL Group by 4 per cent.

Morgunbladid, RÚV, Vidskiptabladid and Vísir.is (a news portal affiliated with Fréttabladid) have all published stories on their websites in connection with this sharp correction.
