Italian Tourist Held on Terrorism Suspicion

An Italian tourist was arrested on Friday night suspected of terrorism. The man, who is an architect, was taking pictures of the House of Parliament. He spent Friday night in prison and Saturday he was interrogated for the whole day. Police released him when they were unavailable to find any evidence that he had any terrorist activities in mind.

The Iceland Review contacted the Reykjavík Police Department. The Public Relations officer there related the following information: “My dear, I can’t understand why Iceland Review would possibly be interested in police matters.”
