Issue Two of Atlantica Now Onboard Icelandair

The March/April issue of Atlantica, Icelandair’s in-flight magazine, is out just in time to see Reykjavík thaw after one helluva winter.

This spring Atlantica’s Sara Blask abandons the tourist map for the vibrant streets of Stockholm’s SoFo to discover what’s at the heart of Sweden’s haven of hip. Meanwhile, staff writer Jonas Moody ventures into the underground of Edinburgh after dark for wild times in the city’s pubs, clubs and budding burlesque scene.

Also in this edition Moody sits down with Iranian filmmaker Afsar Sonia Shafie to discuss her new documentary that peers into the private lives of Iranian families, Alëx Elliot takes a look at botched national anthems, and Atlantica’s staff plunges into the secret world of double identities.

Other highlights include the best photo books of 2007, a last look at Iceland’s late, great Bobby Fischer, and confessions from the red carpet of the Academy Awards. Not to miss is photographer Páll Stefánsson’s stunning photos of Iceland’s colorful highlands.
