ISK 82,000 Salary Gap in Iceland

The mean monthly salary for men in Iceland in 2013 was ISK 475,000 compared to ISK 393,000 for women, resulting in an ISK 82,000 (USD 730, EUR 525) pay gap. The figures are based on the latest data from Statistics Iceland.

The mean monthly salary for full-time employees totaled ISK 436,000 last year. The most common salaries were between ISK 250,000 and ISK 300,000 with around 17 percent of employees receiving salaries in that range.

About 75 percent of employees had a monthly regular salary less than ISK 500,000.
