The role of pest control is to keep the impact of pests such as rats, foxes and minks to a minimum, ruv.is reports.

Pest control staff also collect stray cats, which are then placed in Kattholt cat shelter. The cost of operating Kattholt, between ISK 4 to 5 million (USD 31,700-39,700, EUR 25,000-30,000) this year, is also included in the amount.
