Is it the Wind that Blows Laugavegur to Top Ten?

Website recently published a list of the world’s ten best shopping streets, and Laugavegur in downtown Reykjavík made it to number ten.

The website describes Laugavegur as: “Perhaps not one of the biggest or busiest shopping streets in the world, this commercial area in downtown Reykjavik still has much to offer.”

In the top spot is Fifth Avenue, New York City. “The fifth avenue in Manhattan is packed with expensive department stores and designer boutiques. Bond Street, London, is in second place, described as “a fashionable shopping street since the 18th century” and Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, is in third for being a “glamorous shopping area […] known for its luxury stores. It is home to some of the region’s most expensive stores.”
