International Scout Meet in Iceland

By Iceland Review

Over three thousand scouts from all over the world are now in Iceland for Rowerway, a European scout meet, which started this morning.

The scout meet started today at The University of Iceland.

Over the next days, the participants, which come from 44 countries, will travel around Iceland and explore its culture and daily life, mbl.is reports.

The schedule is very versatile and at the end of the week, a giant scout village will be built at Úlfljótsvatn Lake, which offers all kinds of fun activities.

“Hosting this meet is an extraordinary opportunity for us, as it gains so many new friends of Iceland,” Margrét Tómasdóttir Iceland’s Chief Scout tells mbl.is.
