The festival, which runs through July 26, is the first international guitar festival to be held in Iceland.
Among those on the bill are Fabricio Mattos from Brazil, Priska Weibel from Switzerland and locals Ögmundur Þór Jóhannesson and Svanur Vilbergsson.
The program also includes master classes and workshops.
