Interest rates still on the rise

The Central Bank of Iceland announced its key interest rate will be raised to 12.25 percent as of May 23, representing another .75 percent increase. This is the Central Bank’s fourteenth interest rate hike in two years, according to Reuters.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, the next interest rate decision is due to be announced July 6.
