Intercultural Workshop for the Family in Videy

An open art workshop for children and adults will be held in Videyjarstofa on Videy Island, off the coast of Reykjavík, tomorrow from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. The workshop’s theme is Yoko Ono’s Imagine Peace Tower, which is located on the island.

The Reykjavík Art Museum describes the event as “a perfect opportunity for family and friends to get creative and enjoy peace and togetherness in a cozy environment,” in a press release.

Emphasis will be placed on uniting friends and family as well as diversity and a moment of peace in beautiful surroundings.

Alma Dís Kristinsdóttir, education project manager at Reykjavík Art Museum, will be overseeing the workshop.

The ferry departs from the Skarfabakki pier at 1:15, 2:15 and 3:15 pm and from Videy every hour between 1:30 and 5:30 pm.

The admission fee including a ticket for the ferry is ISK 1,000 (USD 8.17, EUR 5.40) for adults and ISK 500 for children. Cakes, pastry and drinks can be bought in Videyjarstofa.

This program is in collaboration with Videy Island and the Reykjavík City Library.
