The sale of the most expensive types of luxury cars has increased considerably over the first ten months of 2007 compared to the same period last year. The increase in sale of Land Rover Range Rover is for example 108 percent.
The sale of Mercedes Benz has increased by almost 50 percent, Audi by 33 percent and BMW by 15 percent, Vidskiptabladid reports.
This increase is especially interesting due to the fact that the sale of new cars overall has decreased by 12 percent during the first ten months of 2007.
Icelanders seem to be shifting from regular passenger cars towards more expensive types of vehicles, preferring British and German luxury models.
