The executive board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will discuss Iceland’s letter of intent on an economic stabilization program including an IMF-led loan package in Washington today.
Swede Jens Hendriksson, the representative of the Nordic and Baltic countries on the board, will present a declaration from the Icelandic government and Central Bank to the other board members and represent Iceland, Fréttabladid reports.
No Icelanders will participate in the meeting.
The meeting is expected to be held at 3 pm local time, which is 8 pm in Iceland.
