Imagine Peace Open Art Workshop

An open arts workshop for kids and adults will be held at Videyjarstofa on Videy island off Reykjavík. The theme of the workshop is based on Yoko Ono’s Imagine Peace Tower and the words “Imagine Peace”.

Alma Dís Kristinsdóttir, project leader at Reykjavík Art Museum, will be overseeing the workshop, which she describes as an opportunity for family and friends to get creative and enjoy peace and togetherness in a cozy environment.

Emphasis will be placed on uniting friends and family as well as diversity and a moment of peace in beautiful surroundings.

The ferry departs from the Skarfabakki pier at: 1:15 pm, 2:15 pm and 3:15 pm and from Videy, every hour between 1:30-4:30 pm.

The ferry ticket and admission fee is ISK 1,000 (USD 8.6, EUR 6.5) for adults and ISK 500 for children.

The restaurant at Videyjarstofa offers cakes, pastry and drinks.

In other art-related news, the Polish Association of Photographers in Iceland “Pozytywni” is inviting everyone to the exhibition “Islandia w oczach Polaków – Iceland through Polish Eyes” which is held in Eymundsson bookstore on Austurstraeti 18 in Reykjavík.

This is the association’s first exhibition and will be runt through December 13.
