IGS fined for abuse of market power at Keflavik airport

News portal Visir.is reports that the Competition Appeals Panel has confirmed the finding of the Competition Authority (“Samkeppniseftirlit”) that the FL-Group subsidiary Iceland Ground Services, IGS, abused its dominant market position at Keflavík airport by entering into 10 exclusive contracts with airlines operating at Keflavik and also when it made an anti-competitive offer to German airline LTU.

While the Competition Appeals Panel confirmed the finding of the Competition Authority, it lowered the fine imposed by the Competition Authority from ISK 80 million to ISK 60 million.
