Commuters are asked to take extra care when driving in Iceland today due to icy and snowy conditions across the country.

Roads in the capital area and on the highways leading out of Reykjavík to the south and east, Hellisheiði and Þrengsli, are icy, mbl.is reports.
Traffic near Dyrhólaey, South Iceland, has been subject to delay after a lorry drove off the road this morning. According to the Icelandic Road Administration, traffic should be up running as normal again soon.
A truck carrying fish came off the road near Vík í Mýrdal. The cargo had to be transferred to another vehicle as to transport it to its destination.
Roads in parts of the west, northwest and northeast are covered in snow while roads in the east and southeast are slippery.
