This year marks the 30th anniversary of Iceland’s participation in Eurovision, the European Song Contest.
Twelve songs are competing for selection as Iceland’s nomination. The competition is broadcast on RÚV, the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service. The winner will go to Sweden, this year’s host country, to compete for a place in the final, and will, hopefully, go on to become the first Icelandic winner of the overall competition.

The winner will be chosen live on RÚV on February 20.
