Icelandic Yacht Missing

The US and Canadian Coast Guards called off an organized search for the yacht Dystocia, which an Icelander is steering, on June 18. The yacht went missing when it was sailing between Hamilton in Bermuda and St. John’s in Newfoundland on June 4.

According to reports from the Icelandic Coast Guards, the US and Canadian Coast Guards undertook an extensive search for two days without any results and are still on the lookout for a trace of the yacht, Morgunbladid reports.

It is not impossible that the man decided to change course and head directly home for Iceland instead of sailing to Newfoundland first.
