The Admiralspalast in Berlin, a cultural center and theater where Icelandic actor and musician Helgi Björnsson is director, has been nominated for the German cultural awards, Der Deutsche Live Entertainment Preis.
“Germans like going to the theater and watching shows,” Björnsson told Fréttabladid, estimating that about 50,000 people visit his theater every month.
The Admiralspalast is a five-story 2,500-square-meter building in the heart of Berlin where plays are staged and various cultural events take place.
The winners of Der Deutsche Live Entertainment Preis awards will be announced on Tuesday.
