Icelandic Swimmer Sets Double World Record

Icelandic swimmer Jón Margeir Sverrisson set two world records last weekend at the Parasport Games in Malmö, Sweden, RÚV reports. On Sunday, he set a new world record in 100 meter freestyle, by finishing in 53.42 seconds. On Saturday, he completed the 400 meter freestyle in 4 minutes: 4.43 seconds.

In addition to setting the records, Jón also finished first in the 50 meter freestyle and the 100 meter medley, according to Vísir.
