Icelandic Startup Develops Software for Search and Rescue Drone

Icelandic Startup SAReye has developed software for analysis of aerial photographs for use in drones. The founders of the company, which specializes in support systems for first responders, say that the software can be used in search and rescue operations.

CEO Guðbrandur Örn Arnarson told visir.is that it is much quicker and cheaper to put a drone in the air than a helicopter and can be used to monitor and record operations by search and rescue in Iceland.
