Icelandic Stamps Collected for Ethiopia and Kenya

By Iceland Review

The Stamp Collecting Association of the Icelandic Lutheran Mission collected close to ISK 2.8 million (USD 24,000, EUR 17,400) this year through a stamp collecting drive entitled “Don’t throw out valuables.” People are asked to donate stamps by delivering them to the collection boxes at post offices around the country until January 31.

Proceeds go to education projects such as improving literacy, building schools and the distribution of scholarships in Ethiopia and Kenya, reports.
