The short film Support, the debut project by Icelandic director Börkur Sigthórsson, has been chosen as one of 25 short films to participate in Filminute, a Canadian festival where international one-minute short films compete.
The 25 short films are from 16 different countries and they were chosen from 1,500 submissions to the competition. Until September 30, viewers can vote for their favorite film on filminute.com, Morgunbladid reports.
The films will also be screened in selected venues in London, Bucharest and Toronto. Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis is a member of the jury.
On October 12, it will be announced which film was the audience’s favorite and which film was selected by the jury as this year’s Filminute winner.
