Icelandic shares lead the pack

The index of the the Icelandic stock exchange increased by 23 percent in the first six months of the year. According to the research department of Kaupþing Bank, the index has increased more than any other indexes monitored by Icelandic banks.

The Danish index, KFX, increased 20 percent, and the Norwegian OBX index by 16.35 percent. The Finnish HEX index saw a 16.25 percent increase. The MSCI world index decreased by 1.76 percent in the first six months of the year. Nasdaq decreased by 5.45 percent. Dow Jones decreased by 4.7 percent.
