Icelandic television series The Press III (Pressa III) has been nominated for a Prix Europa 2013 award in the category Best European TV Drama.
This is the first time that an Icelandic television series is nominated for the award since the annual awards festival began in 1987, according to a press release from Sagafilm.
The festival received a total of 670 entries from 35 countries.
Kjartan Þór Þórðarson, director of production company Sagafilm, said it was a huge honor for the series to be nominated.
