The Cordelia is awarded exclusively to scriptwriters from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, while the Joplin Award is given to those from other countries. Summer 800 is one of four scripts nominated in the Joplin category, reports.

Preparation for the production of a film by Sagafilm based on the script has commenced in co-operation with foreign sponsors. The last film Björn worked on was Köld Slóð or Cold Trail (2006).
