According to YLE, Guðni’s Finnish pronunciation is excellent while reading out loud his message to the nation, honouring the bond between Iceland and Finland. “Between us lies a strong friendship and sometimes we are said to be alike. We are honoured by the comparison because there is so much we can learn from you. You have built a community of solidarity, freedom and progress of which you undoubtedly aim to improve even further in the future.”
