Also tonight, the 31st Grapevine Grassroots evening will take place at Hemmi&Valdi on Laugavegur 21 where the bands Just Another Snake Cult and Óregla, in addition to the electronic musical artist ThizOne will perform. The concert begins at 9 pm.

The first Grapevine Grassroots evening, organized by local magazine Reykjavík Grapevine, was first held in February 2009 and since then a myriad of young bands have performed during these events, Morgunbladid reports.

On September 30, the Icelandic choir Voces Thules will perform at the Archeological Museum in Frankfurt, Germany, as part of a program dedicated to Icelandic culture on the occasion of Iceland being the guest of honor at the upcoming Frankfurt Book Fair.

Upon their return to Iceland, the choir will perform the same repertoire at Idnó in Reykjavík on October 16.
