Icelandic film production company Pegasus recently signed an agreement with Forlagid publishing on obtaining the movie rights to the award-winning novel Yosoy (2005) by Gudrún Eva Mínervudóttir.

The novel features an unusual circus in an old wool factory by Álafoss waterfall in Mosfellsbaer, outside Reykjavík. Critics say it is a “complex story which borders on the grotesque,” as described in a press release from Forlagid.
Yosoy was recently released in Italy by Scritturapura publishing and a Danish version is underway. Mínervudóttir’s short story collection While He Watches You, You Are Virgin Mary was recently released in France.
