Icelandic Movie Night in Copenhagen

During the International Film Festival in Copenhagen, September 20 to 30, the night of September 26 will be dedicated to Iceland when Parents (2006) by Ragnar Bragason and Jar City (2006) by Baltasar Kormákur will be screened.

On the festival’s website, it says that much is happening in the Icelandic film scene, which is a reason to celebrate, because Icelandic films have become an exciting export product, just like Icelandic food and music.

Children (2006) by Ragnar Bragason, Parents’ predecessor, has been chosen to compete for the festival’s Golden Swan Award.

Movie Days, another film festival, will be held in Copenhagen in November, and the Icelandic film Cold Trail (2006) by Björn B. Björnsson has been chosen to open the festival on November 6.
