Icelandic Man Harasses Faroese Singer

Faroese singer-songwriter Eivör Pálsdóttir has asked for a restraining order against an Icelandic man who has been stalking her for three years. He moved to the Faroe Islands approximately one year ago and has lived in a tent in Pálsdóttir’s garden for the past months.

The case has been covered in the Faroese newspaper Dimmalaetting where it is stated that the police in Runavík, who are handling the case, haven’t been able to do much about it, Morgunbladid reports.

The man is convinced that the only person standing in the way of a relationship with Pálsdóttir is her agent Sigvör Laksá, who he has been threatening.

In an interview with Icelandic Stöd 2 news on Tuesday, Pálsdóttir said she is very sorry about this incident and wishes that the man be given psychological help.
